Good afternoon -

One of our regulars has given us a puzzler - because I think we should
have found the information but do not know why we haven't.

When his mother was still going back and forth to Canada, every
Christmas she would return with several one-pound tins of Blue Ribbon
Tea for the family. He remembers the tea being a very delightful brew.
Now he would like to know 2 things -

1. What was the tea itself - what kind was it?
2. Whatever became of the company who packaged/marketed it?

Our Kovel's and Warman's guides do not mention the tea tins, but do
mention the Blue Ribbon sports cards.

My Google and Dogpile searches kept bringing up the Blue Ribbon Tea
Company Band.

Are there some tea connoisseurs among us who might know of this tea, and
can fill in our patron's information needs?
