I just did a Dogpile search on 'brass button bears' and found this directory info - http://www.manta.com/comsite5/bin/pddnb_company.pl?pdlanding=1&referid=3550&id=gh0rb - from Manta, some sort of business directory folk. Rnr is the name of the company doing business as Brass Button Bears.

Hi everyone, Our patron would like an address for the Pickford Bears, Ltd company that manufactures(d?) the above Brass Button Bears.  I have checked several of my business directories and the few collectibles books that I have here and done a Google search. They are definitely collectible, but seem to have come from nowhere (except I did see a reference on a website to Minneapolis- a search for either name in the Minneapolis directory turns up nothing).  The link to www.brassbuttonbears.com goes to a site that obviously bought the domain name but is not directly related to the company.  I have also sent email messages to several "teddy bear" experts on the web, but haven't received a response.  I suspect this is something that is almost at the tip of my fingers but I just can't see it or reach it yet.
