[PW] Pickford Bears ltd. and Brass Button Bears

No results from the current or previous edition of Maloney's Antiques &
Collectibles Resource Directory, the Encyclopedia of Associations (which was
a long shot anyway), or Brands and Their Companies.  There were no relevant
results in an EBSCOhost MasterFile Premier search using "Pickford" and
"bears" or "brass button bears" (except for one article in that steered the
reader toward the www.brassbuttonbears.com web site, and a toll-free number
which now is an adult personals chat line -- if you're interested in the
article, here is the information:  Bruins' n Buddies. Teddy Bear & Friends,
07457189, May/Jun2001, Vol. 19, Issue 3).

"Pickford" does not appear in the 2003 Trademark Register as being
associated with toys or with any other product class that would seem to
include collectible bears.

My hunch is that the company has ceased to exist, or has been swallowed up
by another, though I'm unable to confirm the hunch.
