Secret Santa solved (already)!

I found a set of magnetic measuring spoons on sale for half price at my local kitchen-gadget store.  Also found a honey spoon.  And I know where to get local (as in, my actual neighborhood) honey.  So I can give one spoon per day, with ribbons and cute notes, give the honey at the party, and still have $1.50 to play with.  Bonus:  I remembered that she and I share an interest in homemade ice cream, so I may include some recipes.

Meanwhile I also e-mailed a long-lost friend who is a Christian Scientist.  She said that while there are not specific rules, many Christian Scientists avoid gambling.  I also asked her about alcohol, and she said many Christian Scientists avoid that too.

Spoons and honey should be safe, though I don't know if they fit my friend's requirement to "further spiritual growth."
