[PW] Moping Eagle sans Thunderbolts

I caught an eagle yesterday;
I snared him with a rope,
And ever since I brought him home
He’d only perch and mope.
I asked him why and thoughtfully
He cast his sharp eye to me,
“We never flock, you know,” he said,
“I cannot be your roomie.”
So out we went to Adler’s Crag
And that’s where I unlooped him.
And as he gained in lift aloft,
I thrilled that I’d uncooped him.
He scowled that eagle's glare of his
And, headlong like Astyanax,
He whispered as he passed nearby,
“Say, would you have a Xanax?”
