[PW] article on Information Literacy and medical school

I recall hearing about an article, I believe - maybe a news clip that discussed how inappropriate research caused a fatality at a research hospital.  I believe it was something along the lines of how a doctor used a database to look for information for a certain kind of medication, but the database did not track back far enough to ascertain research that was done about this medication.

Does this sound familiar?  Can anyone give me a notation for where/when this article appeared?
