Thanks to everyone for your help! I followed Doug Anderson's advice and
emailed the parish in St. Louis and got a speedy reply! Here's the
response, in case anyone's curious:
"Saint Stanislaus Kostka was one of those saints who did not perform any
miracles in his lifetime. Our Lady did appear to him on several
occasions, as did the angel, but he himself did not do anything
extraordinary in the way of miracles. His life devoted to God and
fulfilling his vocation against all odds was the cause of his sainthood.
Also, back then, there was no "canonization process" per se, and the way
one would become saint was very different from the process we know
today."
