Einstein was thrown out of school, they gave him an entire degree for
just one paper he wrote while he was out of school.

Newton had a similar experience, only the school was closed due to plague.

I would also include Mozart.

Perhaps we should compile a list:  Edison, Gutenberg, Caesar. . . ?
