[PW] Unusual/amusing reference questions

The request for bat identification gives me an excuse to wander
off-topic to note that yesterday morning WFMT, Chicago's classical music
station, started off its 9:00 hour with the overture to Mozart's "Die
Fledermaus" in honor of opening day of baseball season -- because, the
host said, it's the only opera he knows of that has a bat. . . and a
ball.
Cheers,

I've been away so if this is too late I apologise...
I once had a patron request that I identify a bat - they had the book on
bats but they couldn't check themselves as the bat needing
identification was tatooed across the full width of their back, it
appeared to be a Vampire bat!
