[PW] Bees in the Outhouse?? Book ID....

Hello All.  I have a patron looking for a children's book from (she thinks)
the 60s or 70s.  Here is her description:

"The book was about two elderly sisters, I believe their names were Agnes
and Gertrude.  Throughout the book they are retelling happenings from their
lives and their memories of the happenings are quite different.  One scene
we remember is a scene in an outhouse and a run-in with bees.  We also
remember them sitting in rockers on a porch.  The book was probably a JE
picture book.  It was very humorous in tone.  The incident with the bees was
the defining story line of the book if we are remembering correctly.  It
also seems like the bees ended up getting in one of the sisters hair."

Stump the bookseller has an unsolved entry for a book that sounds very
similar to this one, although I have not had a chance to ask the patron if
perhaps she posted there too...
