There is a quote from General Omar N Bradley in an old issue of Parameters (ISSN: 0031-1723), dated September 1981, Volume XI.  In an article entitled "On Leadership" he says that;

"It is a grave error for the leader to surround himself with "Yes" men."

The quote comes from a whole paragraph about encouraging people to speak up, and the full text can be found here;

I'm looking for a quote on the dangers of leaders surrounding themselves with "yes-men".
I'm sorry I don't have the actual quote,all I have is very vague paraphrase which is a long the lines of...

A good leader should beware of surrounding themselves with people who say only the things they want to hear

If anybody knows where this comes from I would be so grateful, or any other quote remotely along the lines of the dangers of yes-men would be great.
