Anchor Fence History

Established in 1891 under the name of Anchor Post Fence Co., Anchor Fence
was the first company in the USA to manufacture and install chain link fence
fabric using machines imported from Belgium.

The first chain link fence was installed at Crocker Wheeler in New Jersey.
This fence, we believe, stands today with the addition of only a few coats
of paint to increase its durability.

Anchor Fence also manufactured and installed wrought iron and one of the
first installations of this product still stands today at Arlington National
Cemetery.
