Our info seeker is looking for biographical information on children's
book author of the 1930's, mainly 40's, 50's-- Hertha Gleitsmann,
pseudo. Maria Gleit.  

Children's Catalog of 1946 shows her as author of Katrina (1945) and
Pierre Keeps Watch (1944).  

WorldCat shows in libraries the titles above as well as Paul Tiber
(1949), Niko's Mountains (1946), and Du has kein Bett, mein Kind (1938)
by that author.  WorldCat also shows under Maria Gleit, Child of China
(1958), Mach nichts, Barbara! (1934), and a contribution to Told under
Spacious Skies (1952).  Some of those titles also appear in Danish,
Dutch, and Finnish.
