[PW] Identifying a Bobbs-Merrill Ayn Rand first edition

How would one identify a first edition of Ayn Rand's "The Fountainhead", 
published by Bobbs-Merrill in 1943?

Please do not send general information or links about identifying first 
editions.  I am already somewhat familiar with that, and have discovered 
that there is not necessarily an easy way to identify a Bobbs-Merrill first 
edition for the vast majority of their books which do not specifically 
state it.  I also have had no luck so far in finding this information on 
Ayn Rand web sites.
