For clarification, the Bible Belt typically refers to an area in the
Southeast US, including Kentucky, Tennessee, parts of North Carolina.
I'm not sure if there is a distinct definition of what is and what is
not the Bible Belt.
The New International Version (NIV) is the bible that is typically
supported by the evangelical church and thus preferred by them.

Subject: [PW] Bible Belt Bible
I was asked yesterday what Bible is used by the Evangelicals in the US
today. The patron then added, as a synonym, the Bible Belt. I'm not
sure
the two terms are synonymous; I don't know if there is one particular
translation that all evangelicals prefer. I can't think of any source to
which I have access that will begin to answer this question, so I am
passing
it on to you.
As always, any help will be appreciated.
