thanks for the suggestion.  It looks like a variation on the austrian went yodeling (at least it fits the tune). I'm thinking you can put any kind of verse to it and maybe where he went they made up more cuckoo verses. Oh, well. We'll run your version by him and maybe it will click. Thanks!

Patron is trying to find words and music to a cuckoo song he knew 'years
ago'.  We gave him the following two but  he says:  The refrain had a much
longer sequence that included the words "cukoo". Instead of "Oh di lay le
oh. Hoh di loh" it might be something like this:

Oh di lay, oh di lay hah hee yah, oh di lay cukoo cukoo

I also recall that the verses were more developed and descriptive of the
bird. 

Appreciate suggestions if you know other cuckoo songs. Thanks!
