Sorry for the long delay. For those who haven't been reading my
status updates on the website, the server was turned off and moved,
as per spec, and then wouldn't boot in the new location.
Apparently, the problem arose from an update to the operating system
which erased a custom driver which was needed for the system to boot.
Greg Newby, our contact, worked night and day (literally) to fix the
problem, which was complicated by the fact that he was in a different
state from the actual machine, and further complicated by the fact
that the people who actually have the machine are not familiar with
the distribution of Linux which the server was using. (It has since
been moved to the version they use.) All told, Mr. Newby spent around
60 hours working on the problem, one way or another, and restoring
the backups.
If you'd like to show your appreciation, remember that our host is
Project Gutenberg, and Mr. Newby would undoubtedly be cheered by a
sudden influx of donations from W0mbats. Or by a bunch of W0mbats
volunteering to add new works to the database. The website is, of
course, at
http://www.gutenberg.org/
So, er, we're back. Enjoy!

P.S. Server logs suggest that people have picked up on my little
coded messages. (I have way too much fun with these things.) I'll
have to come up with something further to entertain the clever people
out there. Once the latest coded message is resolved and I'm stuck
somewhere, I'll spend the time devising a new mechanism.
