A few years ago PBS often aired a commercial after "Masterpiece Theatre" in
which a teen girl was featured in close-up on a bed as she spouted
pseudo-Jane Austen until camera pulled back to reveal she was a girl of our
time talking to a puzzled/disgusted very modern brother who looked at her
and her faux British accent and enthusiastic behavior with dismay. She cried
out in frustration and threw herself back on the bed. She said something
like "Dearest brother..." The slogan was similar to lose yourself in PBS. It
would be great for a classroom or library promo. I'd hope to find the text
or data on the ad itself, who created it, who played the roles etc...
