[PW] ? Where is KKK first mentioned in Michener's "Texas"?

Hello,
 
I'm wondering if anyone can help me find a reference in James Michener's
"Texas".  I can't find an online version of the text and, of course, being
Sunday the library is closed.  What I need to know is where reference is
made to the Ku Klux Klan for the first time.  My version is a 1322-page
paperback so any information that could help narrow my search would be
appreciated.
