While the Stumpers Archive is no longer around, the text of this (and a lot of
other) old Stumpers messages can still be retrieved by finding the reference
via Google and then bring up the Google Cache text:

The Composer of the "Mad Show" is none other than Mary Rodgers, daughter
of Richard Rodgers and a prolific musician and author (she wrote the
popular kids book "Freaky Friday" among others). The lyrics are by
Stephen Sondheim writing under an alias (kind of an in-joke). I don't
know who has published the sheet music, but the CDs of the Mad Show are
still available to purchase. Or you can contact Ms. Rodgers at: Home: 91

------------------
Dear Stumperfolk:

I am searching for the complete text to "The Hate Song" from the The Mad
Show, a 1966 off-Broadway revue based on MAD Magazine. The song does not
show up in the Popular Song Index, Where's That Song or the EPL Song
Index, I've found these verses on the Internet:

We're gonna stamp out hate
Punch it in the eye,
Kick it in the stomach yelling die die die!
We'll pull its insides out
And look at what it ate
We're gonna stamp out hate.

We're gonna stamp out hate,
Show it who's the boss,
Take it up a lonely hill and nail it to a cross
There's not a single part
We won't violate
We're gonna stamp out hate.

I supsect (hope) there are probably more. Can anyone suggest a source?
How about music?

Thanks,
Louisa Berger
