Oddly, the Secret Service has videotapes of interviews with SJM.

tapes via the Freedom of Information Act, but if your wife has the time
and really wants to be accurate she can make the request.

Also, Vanderbilt University's Television News Archive has videos of U.S.
news broadcasts from as far back as 1968. It is a premium subscription
service provided to institutions, and you must be a subscriber. However,
you can find results via good ol' Google. If you google "video Sara Jane
Moore" you can bypass - to a degree - the sign-in process necessary to
search the archives. The Archive also provides some online access, too.

... Couple of possibilities if your beloved is really, really determined
to hear the actual voice.

For better or for worse, like calls to like.  My wife is if anything
even more compulsive than I am.

She's playing Emma Goldman in a local production of Sondheim's
ASSASSINS, and is understudying the role of Sara Jane Moore, the
would-be assassin of President Gerald Ford.  Moore grew up in West
Virginia.

Her question, a challenge to the list:  Did Moore speak with a West
Virginia accent, or not?

I can't find anything that answers this.  Can you?
