[PW] ? Book About Governess from Russia in England?

Our patron needs the title of a book she read several years ago. It was
a Gothic style romance set in 19th century and featured a governess from
Russia who came to work in England only to be imperiled by someone who
wanted to force her to return to Russia. I've tried various internet
searches, Bookfinder, Amazon.com, etc. without any luck. Thanks very
much.
