This is for me and my 78-year-old father. I am taking my parents to meet my brother in Chicago in August, and Dad would like to find a good German restaurant. He's quite disappointed that the Berghoff is closed, and hopes that we can find one like it (at least in quality - nothing was quite like it!)
Any Chicagoans out there with a suggestion? We're staying in Palatine, so it doesn't have to be right downtown.
Thanks!
