Sorry to send so many replies, but source below is really good. Also,
to see more, do a google search: "acceptance rate" +journals

Journal Rankings & Acceptance Rates (St. John's University)
http://www.stjohns.edu/academics/libraries/resources/journals.sju

An example of interesting information from above guide --
APA (American Psychological Association) includes acceptance rate
information for its journals in document "Summary Report of Journal
Operations <year>" available at:
http://www.apa.org/journals/statistics/
Each publication listed includes, number of articles received, number
accepted, number pending, and percentage rejected.

Subject: [PW] Q about reference directories

Is there a directory that includes info on the ratio of articles
submitted
and articles accepted for the major academic journals?

I had asked this question at the reference desk at a research university
in my area and they said that there is no such directory. I would have
to
contact the journal publisher if I'm to get such info. I'm just trying
to
verify if this is indeed correct. And, yes, I am a library student and
was given this question as a possible reference inquiry.

Thanks in advance for your assistance!

Melissa
