Did you try the Theodore Roosevelt Association in Oyster Bay, LI, NY?
There are research resources and a contact/inquiry e-mail and phone.
The expert of experts, Director John Allen Gable, unfortunately passed
away a couple of years ago. But someone should be able to help you. (The
Board is a veritable who's who-David McCullough was/is on it.)  Good luck-
