Don't forget the external speakers because the projector's built-in
speakers won't work well for a movie, IMO.

Barb,
Why are you tying up a laptop when a garden variety dvd player (less
than 100 bucks) should work for you. We use Sharp projectors which
work very nicely. How big is the space - do you intend to do full
sound (surround) or just minimal?
