I asked her (it's the first question I ask when a patron says, "I heard
this on the radio."), but she couldn't remember what show or station she
was listening to. Sigh. But several people on the list have given me
leads, so I'll work on those. Thank you, everyone.

Pam, could she give you the station ID? Over here at least, any of the
broadcasters who discuss medicine have web transcription services. You
can just look on the website, or contact the station manager, and they
can give you the details. You have the topic and date...so all you need
is the station ID.

Unless, unlike here, they allow adverts over there for medicines. I've
heard they do. Still, advertising has to be paid for, so records have
to be kept. With a station ID and the knowledge it was an advert, it
should still be relatively easy to pick up the detail from the radio
station's people.

I don't have access to the mainlist today, so I'm going to throw this
one
here.

A patron (who drives us all nuts, but that's neither
here nor there) heard about a new diabetes drug on
June 6 of this year. She heard it on the radio, and
the phonetic spelling she came up with was

chioechtild
