I have a feeling it's SMALL TOWN MAMA, a classic sung by THE MADDOX BROTHERS
AND SISTER ROSE. If you go to allmusic.com and pull up their album A PROPER
INTRODUCTION TO THE MADDOX BROTHERS AND ROSE, you can hear a small sample of
the song. The lyrics in the sample are
...small town mama, and when you take her out
She'll drink your beer and whisky
And then begin to shout
Small town mama, there's nothing she won't do
She's got those big city ideas
She's sure to satisfy you
It certainly sounds like a Lady of the Evening song. It was written by
Jimmie Davis, the guy that wrote YOU ARE MY SUNSHINE, and was govenor
(twice) of Louisianna. Interstingly, he became known for his gospel songs
and even had a church named after him. But earlier in his career his
political opponents, in an effort to turn public opinion against him,
publicized the fact that he used "risque lyrics" in his songs.
I don't have all the lyrics or the music, but if your patron recognizes
these additional words, maybe you can find them for her either through
Maddox Brothers sources or Jimmie Davis sources. Hope this helps.

Subject: [PW] ?Words, Music to "Down in Oklahoma City, in Deep Reno
Street,A Small Town Momma...."
Hello,
Have a patron seeking the words and music to a steamy old song about Ladies
of the Evening in Oklahoma City.
Inquirer doesn't know the title, but does remember the beginning lyrics:
"Down in Oklahoma City, in deep Reno Street, a small town momma is the first
one you'll meet...." So far I've come up empty on the web and elsewhere.
Anyone able to help out with this query?
Thank you,
Sam
