You can search for a band and see where they were formed. Clicking on
the city will take you to a list of all of the other bands from that
city.

(Entries also include all sorts of info about band members, influences,
awards and discography although registration may be required for some of
the site's features.)

A patron wants to find bands that are local to particular cities  
(i.e. LA bands, NY bands, etc...). Is there a directory or website  
that you guys know of that clearly states a bands origins or through  
which you can search for the place the band was formed or got their  
start?

The bands do not need to be famous...
