The Keys to the Kingdom series by Garth Nix.
His Dark Materials series by Philip Pullman. In this one, the main
character is from the 'other' world, but other characters are from our
own.
Also, quite a lot of books by Clive Barker - for adults, this genre is
usually called "Urban Fantasy" - and there are lots of titles and
authors you could look at. Either someone from our world is pulled into
an 'other' realm, or someone from our world discovers that there is an
other realm or other-worldly bits within our world.
Charles de Lint as well, for adult fiction of this type.

Subject: [PW] reader's advisory for fantasy
This is for me so there's no rush.
I'm interested in finding fantasy novels or short story collections
where the imaginary world is seen through the eyes of someone from our
world. For example, the Pevensie children in The Lion, the Witch and
the Wardrobe or Harry in the Harry Potter books. Some of Peter S.
Beagle's works would fit this description also.
These can be written for adults, YA or children. Thank you in advance
for any suggestions! :-)
Cindy
