Good morning--

I'm seeking a source for this quote: "If you're not outraged, you
haven't been paying attention."

It's around in many themes and variations but my online searching
hasn't nailed an original.

Anyone know where it came from? I would like to use it in a work of
fiction. In that context, I can paraphrase around it easily enough,
but if there's a source that predates bumper stickers, then I'd
rather use the exact words with an attribution.
