Yesterday I answered an IMDB query from an elderly lady who recalled
as a 12 year old girl wanting desperately to see FOR WHOM THE BELL
TOLLS (1943), with Gary Cooper and Ingrid Bergman. At one point she
traveled from her Letchworth home to the London theatre, only to find
it closed due to bomb damage. She did eventually get to see it.

Her query was she wanted to know the exact wording of an overwrought
advertising tag line about "lovers who clung together in the darkness
before a thunderous dawn." By searching
britishnewspaperarchive.co.uk it appears the line was "All the power
and passion of Hemingway's immortal lovers who clung together in the
darkness before a thundering dawn."

I could piece the line together from OCR search results, but images
of the actual advertisement are behind a paywall. Does anyone here
have access to britishnewspaperarchive.co.uk or another British
newspaper archive where they could come up with an image of an
advertisement for her?

One from The London Times would be even better. The hits I found
were all from Scottish papers:
