Try contacting author groups. I am on the 'Street Team' of various authors, and they send me a pack of bookmarks everytime they publish something (sorry, all adult fiction). Or try the publisher.
If you're okay with pretty, but not book related, try calling the art department of a local high school or college and see if they can make it a project for students. Our public library puts teen volunteers to cut sheets of scrapbook paper into strips, punch a hole on the top and thread a ribbon through it. Maybe Boy/Girl scouts could do it as part of a badge?
Another idea is one of those online fund me websites. There is one dedicated to schools, but I can't recall the name.

This may not elicit a response but I'm putting it out there.
Our school is a located in a small low-income town in rural Iowa (over 80% of our students are on "free and reduced" lunches).
As you can imagine, our budget it small.... and the library is sometimes on the bottom of the list.
Students love bookmarks, but currently we do not have the money to make those purchases. I've made some from used greeting cards, etc., but would really like some actual bookmarks for the 7-12 grades.
Does anyone know where I could get some free bookmarks?
Is there some institution I could contact regarding funding for bookmarks or book sets for a low-income school?
Thanks in advance.
