[PW] Locating a non-fiction title

Hello,

 

I cannot locate a title of a non-fiction book for a patron. I have tried
Amazon, Novelist, and Google but have had no luck.

 

Here is the only information the patron can tell me:

"takes place in Normandy, France, during WWII
farmgirl gets hit by bomb and loses legs.  U.S. Army "adopts" her and
gets her
medical attention, etc.
I'm thinking the word "sun" or "sunshine" is in the title...."

 

Can anyone help?
