Charles Gibson may be catching up with Obama in Jerusalem or elsewhere
in the mideast, but he's been in New York and not been on the Obama
plane, thus far. CG did the news from NY last night and was to be in
Jerusalem tonight.

Reports are vague, but here are some clues: according to the Weekend
Australian newspaper (19 July 2008), Obama annoyed the international
press corps by "...taking no foreign journalists. He has filled his
campaign plane with US reporters, including three television news
anchors, who are in discussions to hold prime-time interviews with
him on consecutive nights." As for the reporters, we are told by the
New York Times (17 July 2008) that "Brian Williams (NBC), Charles
Gibson (ABC) and Katie Couric (CBS)" were going along with Obama, and
that "star political reporters from the major newspapers and
magazines" would also be on the plane.
