Ah! I see it is time for the Department of Sweeping Generalizations
to spring into action. This publication [below] notes the household size
varies from 5.6 for North Africa and the Near East to
4.8 in Latin America. These estimates are intended to size the
developing nations.
<http://www.popcouncil.org/pdfs/wp/144.pdf>
The first world countries have largely exchanged (comparitive)
wealth and longevity for fecundity, so their households are settling
towards a size of 4.1
The World population was given as 6,602,224,175 for July 2007
and 6,704,845,726 for June 21 2008
I therefore sense that best estimates of world wide household capitation
will be in the range of 1,343,656,458 +/- 81,234,567 for a particular
time frame, which is: 2 pm GMT June 26th 2008, increasing
exponentially.
Extension of these data by region is left as an exercise.
You are welcome.
