And of course the movie BEDAZZLED and a few thousand other stories, poems,
songs, movies, etc.
Not to mention the origin story of CAPTAIN MARVEL (the Fawcett/DC original
comic hero of that name, not the later Marvel Comics one). Billy Batson
was led down a subway tunnel decorated with statues of (a somewhat
non-canonical) set of seven deadly sins/enemies of manking prepatory to
his first meeting with the wizard Shazam, who turned him into Captain Marvel.
