Allen, during the census-taker's weekly working hours, the informant
was probably the Czech-speaking mother. (Wouldn't the Alsatian
step-father be at work then too?) You might inquire whether Lalte is a
Czech nickname or pet name for Leo or Albert or Leo Albert that might
have made it into the rolls.
