Is this different from “malapropism,” named for Mistress Malaprop, a comic character in a Restoration play, whose incorrect use of long words gave her name to the phenomenon?

Of course, it came from “apropos,” getting it right.  Who knew that the character and the name would be forgotten after a mere generation of Autocorrect?  The most recent version of her is a Mrs Bucket in a British sitcom whose name I can’t recall offhand.
