Olson was essentially right:  what people have in their homes is something that amounts to a terminal on the Internet.  He was just wrong about what kind of "computer" the home terminals would be attached to.

Back in May 2016 a quotation expressing skepticism about home
computers attributed to Kenneth Olsen of the Digital Equipment
Corporation was discussed here. Now the Quote Investigator website has
an entry on this topic.
