Garson, have you tried finding a library that holds Newsweek on microfilm?
Maybe a w0mbat has access to it in that format.

Subject: [PW] Request help Newsweek ProQuest for Frank Lloyd Wright
quotation

A 2016 announcement from ProQuest stated that the company had digitized
Newsweek and added the pages to the "News, Policy & Politics Magazine
Archive".

Perhaps a list member with access to the Newsweek archive would be willing
to search for the following quotation attributed to the famous architect
Frank Lloyd Wright:

If it keeps up, man will atrophy all his limbs but the push-button finger.

Here is the metadata from a Google Books snippet match:

Year: 1955
Periodical: Newsweek
Volume 45
Quote Page 98 (Another GB match specifies page 436 which might be the count
from the start of the volume)

The goal is to obtain a complete and verified citation, e.g., the full date,
the page number, the article title, et cetera. Would love to see the PDF.
