Re: Ellery Queen, I am starting to think this may be it, but I can't reach
the patron. From what I've read, the father was a policeman and the son was
a writer. And I'm wondering if Elliot is a mis-remembering of Ellery.
I remember the TV show with David Wayne and Jim Hutton. But I never read
the books.
