I'd try the local Jag dealership's service manager.

Subject: [PW] 1995 Jaguar XJ6?

Hello,

A patron came into our library today looking for a car repair manual for a 1995 Jaguar XJ6. We looked through our Chilton manuals, but none covered Jaguar, not even the import manuals. I searched our Interlibrary Loan resources (WISCAT and Worldcat) and found manuals, but not for 1995. I can find manuals covering the make/model up through 1994, and then it picks up again in 2004 with Chilton coming out with a European version that includes Jaguar (covering certain models from 2000 and forward).

We have the Chilton.com library, but the only things covered (service-wise) for this make/model/year are the heating/cooling features and what we did find was very minimal.

I guess my question is, did something weird happen in 1995 through ~2000 with Jaguar that would prevent widely disseminated service information being published on the Jaguar? Or maybe just not published in a manner that libraries would buy the resource? Was it referred to as a different name that I'm not searching? Or is there something else that I am missing?

Patron is not interested in a download, as I am finding a couple of sites that are selling a download. And some of the sites look kind of sketchy to me.

Thanks for any information you are able to share.

Pam
