Hi All,
I have a patron with an old mandolin made by the American Music
Company, Kansas City, MO. The label doesn't include a date, but it
does say the price: $25, and that it was made in the USA. The label
also says the American Music Company factory was at 150 Liverpool
So., East Boston, MA.
I have been unable to turn up anything for this patron on this
instrument or the American Music Company. I have checked e-bay (to
see if any were selling), have interlibrary loaned several books of
antique instruments (most were on instruments much older than I'm
betting this one is), and even e-mailed a couple of companies that
sell mandolins to see if anyone had any clues for me (no responses).
If anyone out in Wombat land has any leads on any of this info, I
would appreciate it very much!
I have not subscribed to this list as I have way to many e-mails to
deal with as it is, so if you have any information please cc: me off
list.
Thanks,
