About Passwords
You may enter a privacy password when you subscribe. This provides only mild security, but should prevent others from messing with your subscription. Do not use a valuable password as it will occasionally be emailed back to you in cleartext.

If you choose not to enter a password, one will be automatically generated for you, and it will be sent to you once you've confirmed your subscription. You can always request a mail-back of your password when you edit your personal options. Once a month, your password will be emailed to you as a reminder.

About Project Wombat

Project Wombat is a discussion list for difficult reference questions, accessible in multiple versions. Anyone may join the list, and non-subscribers may submit questions to the list (although these questions will require approval by the moderators as a measure against spammers).

Please note: If you send a message to this list, you are implicitly agreeing to the Project Wombat terms and conditions.

About Project-Wombat-FM

This is the fully-moderated version of Project Wombat. In order for a message to get through to this list, it must provide either a question or an answer. An effort will be made to avoid duplicate answers, obvious guesses, and other dubious messages. (The purpose of the list is to reduce the number of messages, not serve as an editorial device.) At the present time, Project-Wombat-FM has 271 subscriber(s). (This does not count subscribers to the other versions of the list.)
